AI-generated content is an exciting new capability that allows Admins to submit a single prompt that rapidly builds learning material.
Dizi is an LMS assistant that brings the promise of AI to the Tovuti LMS platform.
Data submitted to Dizi is processed by third parties. Admins should use caution when inserting copyrighted or confidential data as a Dizi prompt. Consult your company’s AI policy before using Dizi.
Create a Lesson
Dizi can be used to create Lessons from the Course editor.
Go to Learning > click Courses > select an existing Course
Creating a Lesson with Dizi isn’t available until the Course has been created and saved.
Navigate to the Content tab and ensure External and Library content is turned off.
Click the Dizi button to begin creating a lesson with the LMS assistant.
Dizi is only available in the English course list. Future development will ensure Dizi can create a lesson in any supported language.
Before creating with Dizi, read and acknowledge the AI content disclosure. Admins must acknowledge the disclosure to use Dizi.
In the Content tab of the Dizi slide-out, give this Lesson a Name and select the Content & activities to include in the Lesson. The lesson Description always includes a summary of the lesson, which effectively serves as the first lesson activity.
Dizi can auto-generate a Tovuti Quiz or any of the following Interactive Content:
- Dialog Cards
- Find the Words
- Fill in the Blanks*
- Drag the Words*
- Flash Cards*
- Guess the Answer†
- Multiple Choice Question†
- Question Set†
- Single Choice Set†
- True or False
Content types marked with * and † represent categories of similar activities.
Including two or more of these similar activity types in a single Dizi-generated Lesson may cause duplicate content across similar activities.
It is recommended to only include one activity from each category.
Successful content creators experiment with different combinations of activity types to create variety and better engage learners.
Add a Main Thumbnail and Cover Image for this Lesson.
Provide a Source text (up to 25,000 characters) from which Dizi can extract and create the content for this Lesson, or click Upload file.
A common use case is to copy text from a document or website and paste it into the source text field. Admins can also type in a topic, giving Dizi more freedom to find good questions and answers.
When uploading files, keep in mind that PDFs may contain additional characters that cause the prompt to exceed the 25k character limit.
In the Advanced tab, set global settings for the created content, including if:
- Activities are required (for completion of the Lesson)
- Show correct answers on activities
- Show correct answers on quizzes
- Show retry buttons on activities
Quizzes are created with unlimited retries by default
Set the Activity passing score percentage and the Quiz passing score percentage.
In the Content tab, click Generate lesson, which triggers Dizi to begin the lesson creation process.
Dizi may take up to two or three minutes to complete an entire lesson. During this time, Admins may click Add another lesson to start the process for another lesson.
Multiple lessons may be queued up and processed simultaneously, allowing a single Admin to leverage multiple AI processes at once.
When completed, the Dizi-generated lesson is added to the list of lessons in the Content tab.
Click the Lesson to enter the Lesson editor to edit other Lesson settings, and edit or add new content.
It is recommended to review all content generated by Dizi for accuracy, including the Description, Interactive Content, and the Quiz.
Create a New Quiz
Go to Content Creation > click Quizzes > click the Dizi button
In the Settings tab of the Dizi pop-out, give the Quiz a Name, and select a Number of Questions (up to 20) to be generated.
In the Quiz Text box, provide Dizi with a prompt (up to 25,000 characters) from which to search and generate questions and answers, e.g. “Norse Mythology” or “Beginner’s Algebra.
Click Build Quiz and Dizi works to create the questions.
After creating the questions, the proposed quiz questions show up in the Quiz Preview tab.
Admins can review each of the generated questions and their answers, using the arrows to navigate from question to question. Click the edit button to edit a question or any of its answers.
Answers may be removed to reduce the number of possible answers.
Dizi may make mistakes, so every question and answer must be reviewed to ensure accuracy and alignment with the curriculum.
Click Save Quiz to create and save the quiz, after which Administrators can configure the rest of the quiz from the Quiz edit view.
Add Questions to a Quiz
From the quiz edit view, click the Dizi button to add new questions and answers to a quiz that already exists.
Newly created questions are added to the end of the current list.
Prompt Best Practices
When entering the Lesson or Quiz Text, the following is recommended to help Dizi properly generate content:
- Be specific in the topic request.
- E.g. The history of the personal computer
- If using a topic request, limit the number of questions to 10 or fewer.
- If the Admin copy and pastes text, make sure that it is formatted as plain text.
- Make sure the number of questions and amount of content is appropriate for the size of the prompt.
