The User Portal is customized to include all the necessary learning areas for Users. Unique user portals can be created for each brand, creating a cohesive experience with on-brand fonts, colors, and verbiage, as well as a natural learning experience for users. User Objects (Private Release) can also override the User Portal shown.
This article outlines the following concepts:
Edit User Portal
Go to Design > click User Portals > click New or select an existing User Portal
Main view area tab
In the Main view area tab, designate the experience that users are shown when they log into the LMS.
This can be set up as Modules or a Learner Dashboard.
When Modules are selected, click Select to configure each module.
Modules can represent any of the following titles:
- Spacer - used to add padding between other modules
- Contact Form - displays a form to collect user questions or contact information
- Custom Content - display text or content configured in a WYSIWYG editor
- Home Page Video Player View - display a video play that plays a video file or external video link
- Introducing Your Tovuti Trial Site (default Video Player module for trial users)
- New Releases - displays feed of recent blog posts
- Subscription Plans - display a configured Subscription Plan
- User Community - display a User Community activity stream
- Webinars - display the Event within an Event Category
Edit a Module
Click Edit Module to customize the module’s content like Title, layout, links, etc.
Configuration for each module varies depending on the module type.
For Contact Forms, Submit button background color, Submit button text color, Submit button hover background color, Submit button hover text color are overridden when Three Color Design is enabled.
Configure the sizing of each module.
Scroll to the right side to customize the Font and the Title shown to users.
Add or remove modules using the buttons on the far right.
Click Save at the bottom of the screen to apply module updates.
Configure the other settings for spacing, colors, and images for the modules.
When Learner Dashboard is selected, select the created dashboard from the dropdown.
Navigation Bar tab
In the Navigation bar tab, select the Navigation menu associated with this User Portal.
Set the width, and other configurations to set how this menu is displayed.
User bar tab
In the User bar tab, set the appearance of the top bar of the user portal.
User view:
Set which options are included in the User Bar.
These options include:
- Social notification icons
- Social media share icon
- User image
- User name
- User member number
User Menu tab
In the User Menu tab, configure the settings for the user dropdown menu.
User view:
Options for this dropdown menu include:
- View profile
- Edit profile
- My transcripts
- My forms
- Billing Manager
- My inbox
CSS Styling and JavaScript tabs
In the CSS Styling and JavaScript, utilize custom code to create customize the User Portal even further.
Details tab
In the Details tab, give this User Portal a name, description, and set a default font.
Click Save.
