Standalone Website Pages allow Administrators to create a standalone information block that isn't connected to a Course, Lesson, or other items in the LMS. This also creates a link to this information so Admins can easily share the page.
This article outlines the following concepts:
Create Website Page
Go to Design > Click Website Pages > Click New
Give this page a Title and select Website page for Page type.
Set the Access and Language for the page.
In the WYSIWYG editor, provide the necessary text and other items to display.
Click Save.
Creating a Website Page Navigation Module
For an overview/refresher of the general process to create and edit Navigation Modules and Menus on your instance, our "Edit Navigation in the LMS" overviews details the process to add modules to existing menus, and create new menus from scratch.
To create a Website Page Navigation Module within a Navigation Menu, open the Admin Panel and navigate to Configuration -> Navigation Menus -> Select or create the Navigation Module you would like to add the Website Page to -> and click the "New" button at the top of the page.
After clicking the "New" button, give the new Navigation Module a Title. If the Alias is not filled out directly, it will auto-populate based on the title.
To configure this Navigation Module to direct Users to a Website Page, click the "Select" button next to the Menu Item Type field, and within the popup menu that appears, click "Pages" and select "Single Page" and the Menu Item Type will display as "Single Article" just as shown in the screenshot below.
After setting the Menu Item Type to "Single Article", you can then select or create the Website Page you want Users to be directed to after selecting this module.
