Events come in different forms; conferences, masterminds, meetings, etc. Event Categories allow Administrators to organize their different events.
This article outlines the following concepts:
Create an Event Category
Go to Social > Click Event Categories > Click New
General tab
In the General tab, give this Category a Name, Alias, and, if applicable, a Parent Category.
Set Learner access to this category by selecting the corresponding User Group(s).
Select an Image (suggested image size is 1450x250 px.)
Additionally, make sure this category will show on the front end submit event form, confirm the language, and choose a theme color from a color palette.
Give this category keywords, a meta description, and a category description.
Translation tab
In the Translation tab, provide custom translations for the Name, Alias, and Description of this Category to be presented to Learners who have selected a different language in the Language Selector.
Click Save.
