Team Leads manage a User Team from the Team Lead Dashboard using specific Permissions. Team Leads have unique access to these admin functions from the learner site.
Team Lead Dashboards can be customized to help Leads execute all their delegated responsibilities.
This article outlines the following concepts:
Create a Team Lead Dashboard
Go to Design > click User Dashboards > click New
A Team Lead Dashboard is a sibling to the Learner Dashboard.
In the Team Lead Dashboard tab, set Enable Team Lead Dashboard to Yes and select which modules are shown in the Team Lead dashboard.
Select which view options are enabled for Team Leads (see Team Lead Experience below).
Select if the Team Leaderboard is shown and the default and max amount of user shown.
Select if Team Reports and Activity Reports are shown. Select the Activity Report.
Select if a Team Lead Summary Report is shown and select the report. Admins can select multiple reports.
Configure background header color and header text color for the Team Lead Dashboard. Upload a background header image.
After selecting the modules and Team Lead Permissions, click Save.
Navigation Menu Item
The following is an example of how to create a Navigation Menu Item that directs users to the Learner Dashboard, or the Team Lead Dashboard for Team Leads.
Go to Configuration > click Navigation Menus > click Dashboard Left Side Menu
Click New
In the Menu item type field, select Learner Dashboard (Assorted Links & Landing Pages).
Give the Menu Item a Title and configure the other settings for this menu item.
Click Save.
Team Lead Experience
When the Team Lead Dashboard is enabled, a Team Lead clicks the Learner Dashboard Menu Item and then toggles between the Dashboards for which they are Team Leads. Team Leads may select a default.
Clicking their Personal Dashboard opens it in a new tab.
When enabled, Team Leads can view the following items within the Team Lead Dashboard.
- Checklist/Course Progress
- User’s dashboard
- User’s attendance
- User’s activity
- User’s transcript
- Team Member Leaderboard (by points earned)
- Team Reporting
Admins may also enable Team Leads to perform the following actions in the Team Lead Permissions tab of User Teams.
- Assign Courses or Events
- Add User
- Direct Message User
- Edit User
