Private Access Only
This feature is currently in Private Access stage and only available upon request from the Tovuti Support Team.
Private Access Features are functional new features that still require some development.
Sub-capacity limits enable Administrators to divide event capacity among different User Groups, controlling how many users from each Group may register for an event.
This allows Admins to reserve a select number of seats for a particular group, ensuring that a particular group doesn’t take all of an event’s available seats.
This article outlines the following concepts:
Set a Sub-Capacity Limit
In the Event editor, scroll to the Capacity section of the Basic Information tab.
Set an Initial Event Capacity for this Event. This is the total number of registrants that is divided among the Sub-Capacities.
Click Yes for Subdivide Capacity, enter the number of seats reserved, and select the User Groups that are limited to this number.
Click Add Another to include more sub-capacities.
If a single user applies to multiple sub-capacities, then the registration applies to the group with a greater available capacity. If the available capacity is the same, then the first sub-capacity applies.
Multiple Groups in a Single Sub-Capacity
When multiple Groups are selected for a single sub-capacity, any combination of registrants from the groups is allowed.
In the screenshot above, 5 registrants from either the Site Administrator or Sub-administrator Groups fill the sub-capacity.
If the Event should specifically accept 3 Site Administrators and 2 Sub-administrators, this must be created as two separate Sub-Capacity limits.
Multiple Sub-Capacity Limits
In the example above, the 10 total Capacity Limit is divided into:
- 5 users from the Education group
- 5 users from the Site Administrator or Sub-Administrator groups
When a user’s sub-capacity is full, then the event shows that it’s at full capacity. Users in a full sub-capacity may join the Waiting List, if enabled.
