Tovuti Issues with 2.102.0 & 2.103.0 Releases

[2-24-2025 6:00 PM MT] Tovuti's Engineering team has deployed hotfix 2.103.1 to correct the issues detected. Please contact Tovuti Support if you encounter any other issues.

[2-24-2025 11:00 AM MT] Tovuti's Engineering team is aware of the issues related to the weekend release of versions 2.102.0 and 2.103.0, which have impacted learner paths, survey completions within lessons, and user imports. Our Engineering team is actively investigating these issues and working towards a resolution. We will be deploying a hotfix today to address these concerns.

Create an Essay Entry

The Essay activity allows Admins to collect a long-form response to a prompt. 
This article outlines the following concepts:

Create a New Activity

Click New within Interactive Content (Content Creation) > Select Essay

Task Description

Give this content a Title and Task Description. If applicable, add a Help text to help the User get started. 

Optionally, add an Introduction and Sample solution.

Keywords

Add Keywords and Keyword Variations that should be included in the User's response.

Designate points for these keywords, how many times a user can receive points, if the keyword needs to be case sensitive, and if minor mistakes are acceptable. Add feedback if the keyword is present or missing. 

Click Add Keyword to include additional keywords.

Additional Settings

Configure additional settings such as Behavioral Settings to set how users can interact with this activity.

The Essay Interactive Content can be enabled to allow Speech-to-text. This allows users to speak into their microphones and text is automatically added to the text box. Once entered, the text is editable.

Click Save. 

User View

The interactive content is added to a lesson through the Content & Activities tab of the Lesson editor. The pieces of this activity include:

  1. Speech-to-text option
  2. Enter text for the essay
  3. Check for keywords
