Admins can update Courses in bulk, saving time and increasing efficiency when managing courses. These options include:
Admins have additional bulk action capabilities in the LMS; like archiving course progress, importing eLearning Packages, and editing users.
Additional course actions can be automated using the Tovuti API
Bulk Update Actions
The bulk update options outlined in this section are accessed from the Courses list view. To access these options, go to Learning > click Courses > select the checkboxes of the courses and click the Update button.
Published status
In the Action type field, select Published status and select if the courses are published or unpublished.
Primary category
In the Action type field, select Primary category.
In the dropdown selector, select the new* primary category.
Any existing Primary categories are replaced by this selection.
Secondary categories
In the Action type field, select Secondary category.
There are three action options for secondary categories: Add, Match, and Remove.
Add:
The courses are added to the secondary categories selected.
Match:
Any existing secondary categories are replaced by the new categories selected.
If none are selected, all secondary categories are cleared from the selected courses.
Remove:
The courses are removed from the selected secondary categories.
Lock access
In the Action field type, select Lock access and click the toggle to set if the courses are locked (blue) or open (grey).
Locked courses can’t be accessed by any learners, regardless of permissions.
Final Course Survey
In the Action field type, select Final Course Survey.
Select the corresponding Survey and provide a Title and Instructions within these courses.
If applicable, enable Reporting expiration. Provide a Custom ID and set an Expiration date.
Set if this Final Course Survey is Required for course completion.
Course Events
In the Action type field, select Course events.
There are three action options for Course Events: Add, Match, and Remove.
Add:
The chosen events are added to each of the selected Courses.
Match:
Any existing course events are replaced by the new events selected.
If none are selected, all events are cleared from the selected courses.
Remove:
The chosen events are removed from each of the selected courses.
