Auto-Reset Course Progress supports a Recurring Awards system. In conjunction with Recurring Due Dates and Recurring Award Expirations, Admins can build a system where users are automatically required to retake courses and “re-earn” Awards. Recurring Awards are a common solution to annual compliance training and other ongoing certification programs.
This article outlines the following concepts:
Auto-Reset Course Progress
Admins can enable the course progress to also automatically reset. This requires users to review and participate in all associated course content again.
Time schedule tab
In the Time schedule tab of the Course editor, enable Auto course progress reset. Set the Reset date type to “Time passed after completion” or “Time passed after a due date”.
Time passed after completion
When Time passed after completion is selected, configure a Passed time length. In the example below, the course progress will automatically reset 1 year after the user completes the course.
Time passed after due date
When Time passed after due date is selected, then configure the Reset progress type. Options include:
- Only uncompleted progress
- Only completed progress
- Both uncompleted and completed progress
Passed time length
Set a Passed time length.
In the example below, only completed course progress will automatically reset 11 months after the configured due date.
Click Save.
