The Documentation tool can be used to create form wizards and outputs a document when the user has reached the end of the wizard.
The Documentation Tool content type aims to make it easier to create assessment wizards for goal-driven activities. It can also be used as a form wizard. While editing, the author can add multiple steps to the wizard.
This article outlines the following concepts:
Create a New Activity
Go to Content Creation > click Interactive Content > click New
Select Documentation Tool
Configure the Documentation Tool
Give this content a Title and Heading.
Under elements, select the page type. Page types include:
- Standard page - used for including instructions or descriptions
- Goal page - users list their goals
- Goal assessment page - users analyze their success on their listed goals
- Document export page - users can export the completed document
Click Add Element to add interactable sections to the page.
Element types include:
- Text
- Text input field editor element - users can include text for provided prompts
- Image
- Accordion - content panels that users can scroll through
Repeat this process to create the wizard. Click Save.

The interactive content is added to a lesson through the Content & Activities tab of the Lesson editor.
