Awarding certificates to students is a fantastic way to show progress and inspire future growth. With Tovuti’s Certificate Designer, administrators can create custom certificates for students to earn and display.
Go to Learning > Click Certificate Designer > Click New
In the Certificate Design tab, give this award a Title, Description, and choose the template. Designate if this award will be published or not. Header Top, Header Bottom, Introduction, Recipient Name, and SubText Area will automatically be set to default.
Set each of these options to “Customize” to add text, select font, and set size.
Set the rest of the customization options to build the award. A preview of the award is displayed on the right-hand side of the screen.
Right-click the preview and click Inspect to gather the CSS data for this certificate. This is used in the CSS Styling Tab.
In the Dynamic Merge Fields tab, click any item to copy it to the clipboard and then paste it into the certificate design in the custom text fields.
Dynamic Fields include:
- Certificate Name
- Gender
- Birthdate
- About me
- Mobile phone
- Business phone
- Address
- State
- City
- Country
- Website
- First Name
- Last Name
- Business Name
- Zip Code
- User ID
- Date Issued
- Date Expires
- Course Completed
- Course Category
When the “Course Completed” or “Course Category” Dynamic Fields are used, the value is pulled from the Requirements tab of the Certificate (Award). If multiple values are pulled, they are listed and separated by commas.
Additional custom fields can be added to this list by creating new Profile Fields.
Click Save.
In the CSS Styling tab, paste any CSS from “Inspect” and then Edit the CSS Styling.
