Certificate:
Use Cases
The following are possible general use cases for utilizing this feature:
Enhancing learner motivation with public recognition
A professional development program wants learners to celebrate their progress publicly as they complete key milestones—such as earning certifications or skills-based badges.
This feature is useful because:
-
Learners can share their achievements on LinkedIn, resumes, or portfolios, reinforcing a sense of accomplishment.
-
Public-facing awards add perceived value to internal training programs.
-
Encouraging sharing also promotes the organization’s brand externally.
Example Use Case
A learner completes a “Leadership Foundations” course and earns a certificate. From their Transcript view in the User Portal, they click on the award, then click Public Link to copy and paste it into their LinkedIn profile under “Licenses & Certifications.” This creates a professional touchpoint and shows off the program’s credibility.
Supporting internal recognition and performance reviews
An organization with structured learning paths wants employees to present their training progress during quarterly or annual performance reviews.
This feature is useful because:
-
Learners can easily download PNG versions of certificates and present them as proof of progress.
-
Managers can reference specific skills or modules completed when evaluating growth.
-
Sharing internal awards promotes a culture of ongoing learning and recognition.
Example Use Case
An employee prepares for their annual review and uses the Download Certificate button to save four completed training certificates. They compile these into a portfolio they review with their manager, demonstrating completion of a leadership track over the past quarter.
Encouraging program visibility for external training providers
A third-party course provider using Tovuti wants to increase exposure by letting satisfied learners showcase their badges and drive referrals.
This feature is useful because:
-
Shared badge pages link back to Tovuti-hosted award pages, subtly promoting the provider.
-
Public awards help establish legitimacy and expand reach through learner networks.
-
It encourages future enrollments via word-of-mouth visibility.
Example Use Case
A learner earns a digital badge after completing a “Remote Work Productivity” course. They share the Public Link to the badge on Twitter, tagging the provider. Peers click the link, see the branded Tovuti badge page, and explore available courses—turning learner success into lead generation.
