Although connected, Learning Paths exist in different areas of the User Portal than courses and lessons. Learning Paths can have their own navigation items and show in different spots of the Learner Dashboard.
This article covers how to configure these different areas and possible customizations to make Learning Paths as seamless and efficient for users.

Left Side Navigation links to Learning Paths
Learners may access Learner Paths through a Left Side Navigation Menu Item.
Admin Configuration
Go to Configuration > click Navigation Menus > select Dashboard Left Side Menu
Click New to add a new Menu Item.
In the Menu Item Type field, click Select.
Click the Education & Courses section and click Learning Paths.
View Type
Give the Learning Path Menu Item a Title and select the View type.
View type options include:
- Default
- Categories
- Subcategories
- Learning Paths
Default - displays the default Categories screen that includes all published categories and the category filter
Categories - displays a subset of one or more categories
Subcategory - displays a single subcategory and its learning paths
Learning Path - displays a single Learning Path and its courses
Learner Dashboard
Learners may also access Learning Paths from their Learner Dashboard. This helps students see all their available learning material in one spot.
Learning Path rows in the Learner Dashboard include information such as linked Name, Description, Tags, and a progress bar. Clicking on a Learning Path takes the user to that Learning Path’s main page.
Admin Configuration
Go to Design > click User Dashboards > click the default Learner Dashboard
In the Learner Dashboard tab, select Show, Hide, or Customize (custom Learning Path text) Learning Paths in the Learner Dashboard.
