Administrators can enable a popup alert that shows when a user completes a Course. This alert creates a sense of closure for users and removes any confusion if the course is finished or not. By default, this feature is turned on and is configured by Admins in the Learning Settings edit view.
This feature is part of the 2.84 release deployed on February 29, 2024. All customer accounts as of that date must log in and turn this feature on. Thanks for being a Tovuti user. 🐘
The Course Complete alert is integrated with 3-color design configurations and auto-translated into all supported languages.
If a course is completed by a user, archived by the admin, and then completed again by the user, NO new alerts are shown.
This article outlines the following concepts:
Configure Alert
Go to Learning > click Learning Settings > go to the Advanced Settings tab
Enable Show course completion alerts.
This is a global setting, so when one Admin turns the feature on or off, that impacts all learners across all brands within the entire account.
User Experience
Learners are shown the popup immediately after a Course is completed. Users may click Back to course to return to the course page.
This feature only triggers when a course is completed. Visiting the Course or Lesson page later will not trigger the popup.
Design settings
The accent color in Three-Color Design sets the default color of the badge in the popup.
When Three-Color Design is turned off, the badge background is blue (#0d6efd).
Alerts for Learning Paths
Course Completed Popups also apply to Learning Paths (private access feature). When a course included in an enrolled Learning Path is completed, users are also shown a progress or completion alert for the Learning Path.
