Email notifications allow admins to send updates to directly where users spend the most time, their phones or personal device. Announcements and information about their progress can be built and sent directly to them.
This article outlines the following concepts:
Create a New Email Notification
Go to Communications > Click Email Notifications > Click New
Details tab
In the Details tab, give this email a Name and Description.
Designate which site it will be sent through (using the selected site's email configuration), and build the email with the subject and message.
Admins can provide a test email and send themselves the configured email to check the configurations are applying accordingly.
Schedule tab
In the Schedule tab, set the time and date this email will be sent. Choose whether this will be a one-time send or if it will be recurring.
Different type of schedules offered:
- Send on a specific date - Used to schedule an email for one day and to not repeat
- Send on Interval - Used to send an email at same time with a specific interval you choose to set and set it to stop on a certain date.
- Recurring Schedule - Used to send an email using different days of the week, a monthly report, a quarterly report, or get more specific with a certain date during a certain month. This offers you the most flexibility.
Recipients tab
In the Recipients tab, select to which Recipients this emails.
Select if the email has No Filter, User Groups, or Specific Users. and select the corresponding users or groups.
Add any non-learner emails with the Additional Email Fields.
Set Recipient conditions. Set if Any or All of the conditions requirements must be met for the recipient to qualify for the email.
Click the green “+” to add conditions.
Create a Report to Send tab
In the Create a Report to Send tab, designate settings to show the activity of this email.
Select a Report Type and select any specific Courses.
Add fields included in the Report.
Filter out the results by specific users or groups of users by using the Filter Students option.
Set if Any or All of the conditions requirements must be met for the recipient to qualify for the email.
Add Conditions by clicking the green "+" icon.
Click Save.
After the email has been sent, send history can be viewed in the Email Notifications History tab.
