Online accounts and software run on email logins and settings. Adding email options in configuration allows for easy and quick application of multiple email account settings throughout the LMS.
Go to Configuration > Click Email > Click New
Edit all of the fields for this email.
When editing Brands, this email option is now selectable. Selecting this option automatically applys the email settings saved by following the steps above.
While the organization can use it's own SMTP service, please note Tovuti does not support the setup or configuration of these services.
Misconfiguration leads to no emails being sent from the organization's site until corrected or reverting the "Use Custom SMTP" toggle back to "No".
Email sent when using standard SMTP settings are sent from email@example.com. For organizations using GSuite (Google workspace with connected gmail accounts), this may cause a notice (such as the one below) to be attached to LMS emails.
This is because GSuite recognizes the Mail From Name or Reply to Name, but not the noreply@tovutiteam email address and reminds the recipient to double-check. The “Looks safe” button can be clicked, silencing this message for Tovuti LMS emails.
However, to avoid these messages altogether, it is recommended to avoid using the organization or Admin names in the From Name and Reply Name. Use broader terms such as “Internal Training.”
